My favourite hotel, got married here last year, staff really friendly and bend over backwards for u. Food delicious
Xmas day meal disappointing,service far too quick,hardly had time to digest.Dessert frozen solid&coffee cold(no shortbread either but at that point uncomfortably stuffed due to not having time to draw breath between courses).Meals paid in advance but drinks bill/tip practically grabbed from me&waitress said 'see you'!Wont be back.
Very nice hotel, peaceful nights sleep in nice dark, silent and comfortable room. Hotel in nice surroundings with lovely restaurant and bar. Didn't use the other facilities as we were only on an overnight stay.Would stay there again.
Another great venue from the SimpsINNS group. Rooms are always clean, decor is modern however has character and the staff are very kind and helpful. Our favourite is still the Waterside based simply on location but The Gailes has the best spa suite.
Played attached golf course (American golf) ,found it overpriced due to the condition of the greens.If they prepared temporary greens I think that they would probably be better than the large greens that are a disgrace all year and not just because it's now winter.Why is there no option for a season ticket ?It was explained to me at the front desk that I could buy a ticket at 36 for 4 weeks,I pointed out that it would cost more than 700 if I wanted to play all year but I felt that the staff member found it strange to be looking for a season ticket option.
