The food was lovely but the service wasn't great. If you have plenty of time and are happy to wait for your meal and drinks its worth trying. It took us 3 hours to have a 3 course meal for a party of 4. We waited 15 minutes for drinks after having to ask twice to order.
Staying here now. Lounge bar and restaurant all very nicely contemporary. Food very good indeed and way above expectation.. Rooms maybe a little bit tired but seriously clean, comfortable and well equipped. Staff just gorgeous. Very pleased with our choice.
Very welcoming. Good location. The bar/restaurant very nice as are the seating areas. The rooms are all being updated, hence the low rate. Will definitely be staying there again.
On arrival our room had no heating so we were moved to a similar room on the ground floor which was a bit more suited. We had a good meal on the evening. When checking out our bill was wrong but was fixed quite quickly so it pays to check. All in all not too bad.
In process of getting renovated. Can't wait to see it all complete. Staff were fantastic. There was a hiccup with our meal taking too long but staff quickly rectified it when it came to their attention. Location is great, near to town, although there's an estate getting build next to it. I don't think it would be of any hindering to the hotel
