Nice library. Good Natural Light. But the definitely would not recommend or request help from staff. They don't care or they straight up lie to you. I am studying for an exam which requires about 6-8 hours of my time, and didn't want to leave the library so I asked staff if they have a microwave so that I could eat my food in my car. The man straight up lied and said they didn't even though you could plainly see it later as I walked away from the desk. Man....don't lie...just say its not for public use.

Smaller branch but conveniently located near the restaurants of 17th street. Quiet. Nice place to work. Small selection of books - best to see the main branch because it's huge.
Very quiet place to work with lots of options for areas to sit at desks or in couch like chairs. It's very clean and there is lots of natural light. The one draw back, as a visitor to town, was I had to get a guest pass for the internet which only worked on one device.
I've visited libraries in four counties, and the Newport Beach Library system is in my top two favorites. Library membership is easily obtained and the online catalog is very accessible.The facilities are truly outstanding. Mariner's Library is combined with a school, so hours are limited, but in trade there is a great children's section.
