My wife and I have lived in Irvine before, but we happened to be visiting Irvine and the OC this weekend for our anniversary. Because were in from Arizona, we stopped here to get a sweater. The attendant was really nice, we talked to her about how my wife was pregnant, and on our trip. She found a sweater she really liked, but they didnt have the right size, so she talked us into one that we didnt like as well. When we were walking out, we decided that we didnt like the sweater quite enough to keep it (not for the price of $125). So we figured wed either return it here or back home. We happened to be coming to Spectrum for lunch, so we decided to return it here. Then in the shock of all shocks in a chain retail store, they dont do retail returns. No signage. Nothing posted. She said, Its on our receipt. Well, in order to get that receipt, _we had to buy something._ How do we get to know that we cant return something until after weve bought it? What a ridiculous policy. I understand not wanting to take returns when some active wear has been worn. But you can clearly see that this is not the case.
I received a flyer from an event for a free Lorna Jane inspirational top with purchase. Granted I intended to buy something like socks, I ended up getting a workout top with key pocket. You can never have too many of those when you run. I like to run outside so I have to be able to carry keys to my house. There was only one sales associate when I visited during my lunch hour but she was super helpful. The top I bought was even on sale! So I walked out with two tops for the sale price of one. Score!
