Best surgery I have ever experienced. They supported us completely through my mothers long death from cancer at 56 years old. They have great services in regards to electronic media. When I became ill with autoimmunity they have supported me every step of the way and recognise I am keen to get back to my regular life. For example I called today as I have a chest infection and Dr Alexander called back within the hour. I have an appointment at 9.05 tomorrow. Dr Black also calls back quickly and doctor yeoman is excellent in looking into things and getting back to me. The receptionist lady are plainly very busy but always courteous and have helped me several times. They have much more capacity since the new phone system has been implemented. Just an excellent practice
I have been a patient of this surgery for years and have found most my encounters to be really positive. The majority of doctors here are good especially Dr Alexander and thats what matters most, we are fortunate to have the NHS. However, the phone system isn't great and can take some time to get through, I would say on average if you phone first thing in the morning it takes 25 minutes to get through.
My stars are for the doctors. The reception desk are moody , flippant and behave like they own the surgery . They need customer service training at least. What I do like is the amount of new younger doctors working here on occasion. They are far more helpful than the ones who have been there for too long.
It annoys me when you call the surgery at 08:30 and can't get through. When you do manage to get to speak to someone there's no appointments left. As a veteran I require to see a doctor for my injuries and PTSD only to be informed that there are no appointments available.
