I gave the doctor a chance and ignored other similar reviews, but the doctor does push for expensive services. He refused to perform a normal cleaning because he recommended a deep cleaning (planing). They claimed insurance would NOT cover the normal cleaning because a deep cleaning was needed. I called the insurance and they said that is not true and am entitled to 2 free standard cleanings a year no matter what. The doctor obviously is not keeping patients' best interests in mind. Regardless if a patient needs more extensive work, you should still provide what you can when you can. Not everyone can afford expensive services right then and there. I guess I will be have my cleaning, and if necessary the deep cleaning, to be performed elsewhere.
I have had the great good fortune to have Dr. Sami as my dentist for twenty years. Recently, four teeth, including my front teeth, needed to have crowns. I now have the most attractive smile I have ever had. A very neat and clean office, extremely helpful staff, and Dr. Sami is honest about the treatment. The treatment plan was detailed and straightforward, moreover, the equipment seemed new and modern.The best thing about the office though, is Tarona. I have yet to meet a dental assistant as kind and helpful as her.
