Lovely place to visit. Free entry and a reasonably priced caf. Lovely walks and an impressive swing park for the kids. Dogs are made very welcome.

Really enjoyed my walks around the country park in the past, but lately the maintenance has fallen unsatisfactory. Fly tipping has been occurring. Fallen trees haven't been moved from footpaths.Good place to fish and birdwatch.
Of the recent car parks I have visited recently I was pleasantly surprised to find not one but two car parks in the vicinity. I was lucky enough to visit both during my visit. The first is situated across from the children's play park. If you in fact don't care for the tiny, stupider version of humans there is a sneaky one located round the corner. It caters for the more discerning Parker, boasting individual parking lines
Super place. Lots of woodland walks and a nice stream . Seems to be a rspb type thing at the loch. Few runners and dog walkers, mostly families. Castle ruins good. Cafe fine, play ground excellent. Cost of zero pounds , easily accessible of duel carriageway, great day out.
